Trimmer / cutter, explained.
Trimmer / cutter keeps a continuous section of your recording and discards everything before and after it. It copies the selected samples into a new output, so it changes duration without changing speed, pitch or tone.
Every parameter, explained
Start
0% to 99% · Default 0%Start is the point to begin keeping audio, expressed as 0–99% of the track. For a 60-second recording, 25% starts at 15 seconds.
End
1% to 100% · Default 100%End is the point to stop, expressed as 1–100%. For the same recording, 75% ends at 45 seconds. Start must be lower than End; the default 0–100% keeps the whole recording.
A good place to start
To keep the middle half, set Start to 25% and End to 75%. Apply, then listen to the first and last second of the result. Use the waveform to jump to the part you want to check.
What to listen for
The controls use percentages, not sample-accurate timestamp entry. This tool keeps one continuous range and does not join multiple selections. It does not add fades; cutting through a strong waveform can create an abrupt edge or a click.
Does seeking on the waveform change my trim?
No. Clicking the waveform changes the playback position only. Set Start and End, then apply to change the output.
Make a version you want to keep
Upload your audio or try the sample, adjust the controls above, then click Apply effects. Select Original and Result to compare. Change the settings and apply again to revise. Every revision starts from the untouched original, and Download WAV saves the latest applied version. The player’s Volume control changes only listening volume.
