Terms & conditions

The conditions for using Sonic and working with your audio.

Last updated · 6 October 2026
Create responsibly.

Use audio you own or have permission to edit, and keep a copy of your original recording.

01 — Using Sonic

These terms describe use of the Sonic audio studio. By using the website, you agree to these conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

Sonic provides browser-based tools to edit audio and download processed WAV files. Features, supported formats and limits may change over time.

02 — Your content and permissions

You retain your rights in the audio you select and the output you create. Sonic does not claim ownership of your recordings. You are responsible for having the permissions needed to edit, reproduce, distribute or publish your audio.

Applying an effect does not grant rights to a song, recording, voice or performance owned by someone else.

03 — Acceptable use

Do not use Sonic to violate applicable law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, harass others, or create deceptive audio for unlawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the website, bypass access controls or compromise its security.

04 — Output and availability

Review your processed audio before using or publishing it. Effects can alter pitch, timing, sound quality, channel balance and loudness. Extreme settings may create audible artifacts. Browser and device capabilities affect performance and file compatibility.

The current prototype accepts files up to 50 MB and recordings up to 10 minutes. It does not keep a recoverable editing history after a page reload. Save your downloads and retain your original files.

05 — Service limitations

Sonic is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses arising from interrupted sessions, incompatible files or reliance on processed output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

06 — Privacy, changes and questions

Our Privacy policy explains the current handling of audio and browser preferences. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised date. For questions, visit Contact us.
